Loom Lady and Loom Dude

Flowers for your Mothers' Day Tea
Two amazing designers have created patterns for loom knit flowers , just in time for your Mother's Day tea table.
Brenda, the Loom Lady http://loomlady.blogspot.com/ has a pattern for the lovely, dainty pansies. I can just see these embellishing hats, sweaters, scarves, and purses. They are just wonderful!
The Greg, the Loom Dude has daffodils and tulips on his blog http://loomdude.blogspot.com/

What I especially enjoy about The Loom Dude is he creates the patterns he wants, from his own imagination, without trying to transcribe from needle knitting, or even conventional loom knitting. The results are very unique, fresh loom patterns that are just a delight!

  1. That's what I do Renee, I dont look at anyone else's patterns until after I have written my own ideas down and added a copyright to them. Then I look to make sure my pattern isnt skating too close to anyone else's, I like them to be completely unique individual designs not easily copied by anyone else.

Flowers are fantastic, Loom Lady of course has daffodils too, they will be in her archives from 2006 I think, they were one of the first designs she ever shared within the loom knitting community and what made me become a firm fan of Brenda's :)

  2. Helen, no one can come close to you for making unique and beautiful patterns! The "Wavy Feathers" is a truly amazing creation for the loom, and your loomed toys and food are stunning. Thank you for telling me about Brenda's daffodils :) Brenda's draw-string cast-on is another technique that deserves a loom-knitting gold medal.
